Just a quick question will a ef xr6 diff from disc to disc bolt straight into a el fairmont. Any help would be greatly helpful thanks

It should be no problems then. A mate bought a EF that had ABS & someone had fitted a non ABS diff to it. The previous owner couldn't work out what was wrong with the brakes, Pulled the bulb out of the back of the dash & traded it in - It took the car yard a week to figure out what was wrong with the brakes.

Almost a straight swap.
ABS is irrelevant, if its an XR diff, it automatically has the ABS tone on the axles and mounting holes.


You'll require Upper arms.
You'll also need the rear hand brake cables.

and maybe the watts link rods/pivot.
I'm sure the EF diff hat pin is Just higher, and no arms changed, however I have never actually measured the difference.

es, Hemispheres 'should' be the same.

90% of the time they mate up with the original gears no problemo's.
However, swapping centers could risk your a*** as they're not 'shimmed' for that center.

I've swapped many hemispheres and never had a problem, but I always disclaim there could be noise, and noise my friend is wear.
