i have a good oppurtunity to get LSD out of an EF xr6 in good condition, and just wondering what would be needed to fit to my 97 EL futura falcon, i had some memory in my mind some bars or somthing vary from el and ef regarding diff placment im not sure lol.

any help appriciated i really wanna get lsd on the car asap

is that the same effect as a normal lsd in a car eg stock xr6 with lsd? ...sorry i no nothing about driveline lsd's etc

They don't have head units like 9" diffs where centre can be swapped...
The whole diff should fit anyway...

if i can get complete diff for reasonable price just get full diff disc to discs over just the diff center?

hey u only need to change the top control arms over when u put a ef diff into a el

no, but the internals can cant they??
id assume its a smaller job to change them then it is to swap the whole diff

Which entails going backwards 3 years to a not as good design. Also less versatile when being lowered.

I'd be spending the money and swapping the centre.

the reason of the change was to reduce the over-steer problem ef's had.
id hardly call a safety enhancement a downgrade, but personally i dont mind over-steering on the odd occasion.

i would change the centre over because i have had a ef and el and el handles so much better than a ef only becasue of tickford doing the rear setup in a el
