yes the module was replaced (pump with intergral computer) and when fitted to another vehicle it then worked fine. after replacing the pump i reset the codes too. but the problem was the same as before

I had this problem yesterday, check all the sensors (i found my left front was melted near the extractor) and the wiring also where it plugs in the the pump

the spot where it melted thru probably caused the problem at the connector, on mine every thing looks fine visually havent found any melted wires or any thing

from http://www.fordmods.com/forums/documents.php?doc=2 :
Valve Relay, or Valve Relay supply voltage fault

The EL's run the later Bosch 503 unit (the one pictured in the doco is an early EF one).
Plug your old unit back in - it doesn't need to be hooked up to the brake lines for testing purposes.
I'm suspecting there is a bad connection between the ABS pins and the plug sockets - the unit may be faulty, but they were pretty reliable units.

the unit should be ok it was working when i took it out of the other vehicle, the voltages pin point tested ok when i did the change over but the abs light was off then it comes and goes thats why i suspected a wiring fault and was wondering if any one had any similar wiring problems?
