Will it fit my ED ... or do I have to modify the loom on the gearbock to suit.. or they're all the same...

bro just put in a 5 spd manual into his EL XR6 with 115k's on it.. so i now have his autobox with 115k's on it

The looms are different, but the plugs are the same so just use your ED loom. The thing you'll probably have to swap is the speedo gear.
