Does anyone know the part number for 6 cylinder kyb front struts, standard replacement.
I looked on their site and i can only find 1 part number for 6 and 8.
Im trying to work out why my el v8 rides like s**t with brand new shocks and springs.
Its got brand new el xr8 stock height front springs and new king lows at the rear with stock replacement kyb struts and rear shocks.
Cheers

I just checked the monroe site and they list the same part numbers for 6 and 8 so i guess they just use the same shocks in six and eight- how stupid is that because the shocks cant perfectly suit 6 and 8.
So i learnt 2 things
1- kyb shocks are s**t, ill stick to monroe next time
2- 6 and 8 el falcons use identical front struts(stupid idea) never knew that
The third thing is that i would recommend boge shocks to anyone who will listen because they are really good, i have them in my eb v8.

Struts are the same between engines, it's not an issue really as if you're buying quality struts you can usually adjust them anyway.

Yep, I use boge and they are good for a daily driver (comfort), wouldn't use them for a performance application though.

I will use KYB over Monroe every time.
The standard XR8 springs (softer) front and King Lows (harder) in the rear combo wont help.

Thanks for the replies, why are the xr8 springs softer than the kings?
As far as i knew king springs we're just lowered and not heavy duty?
I guess it was a bit harsh saying they were s**t but i can only go by the seat of the pants feel, which is almost always accurate if you know the car.
Maybe kyb do good shocks but their standard replacement shocks in my eyes arent even half as good as monroe standards.
In saying that you get what you pay for and i guess thats why they were much cheaper than the monroe equivalent.
