probably has been done
u'd need a rear tailshaft yoke from an ef el too
then modify an xh ute/van hand brake cable and rear brake pipe setup?
cant see it being too hard

what is wrong with the drum adjusters?
i have the gt finned rear drums in the xr and they work pretty well,

the xh ute/vans had discs, sedan ones will bolt up too

u could use the el wagon disc aluminium brackets off the diff and mount them onto the xf diff im pretty sure, then bolt the el calipers straight on, would need to swap the brake pipes over as i mentioned before and use the el discs too (drill and tap the xf axle flange to hold the disc on)
would just be a matter of setting up the handbrake etc

im maybe going to modify this style rear disc setup into my XR later on in the year

I installed an ED wagon Diff into an XF ute. iirc, it was around 15mm wider in total.

However the leaf springs were the same width apart.

You also have to be carefull with brake lines, XF runs Imperial where as E-series are Metric.
I got a pipe made at a local shop that was imperial to Metric.

You sure your cars an XF? I was under the assumption XF utes/panel vans stopped in 91.

and XG's was 92, I could be wrong!
