$250 for a redback in your coice of muffler cofig is bout right. i paid a little more than $450 for my cat back but its not off the shelf stuff.

all depends on where your planning to go with the car, if only mild a $250 redback will be fine.

usual exhuast budget;
-catback = $250>500
-cat convertor = ~$200>350
-extractors =$300>500
-tip get you zorst shop to through one in for free or $100

Hey mate,

Give them a call at Sur-Flo exhausts at Ingleburn, great team, top quality, and a great price, they do a half redback, half custom cat-back (mandrel bent, basically its a redback with a hot-dog from the rear wheels to the tip and a "sureflo" muffler and pipe to the cat.

My AU absolutely growls, and they were really good with the customer service. Can be a lilttle cranky on the phone if they are busy tho.

thanks for that guys, i just want something cheap to be honest with you guys as rego is in a few weeks time also, i thought i may aswell spend the extra $50 though for a sports system, carline mufflers quoted me $300 with a redback muffler (sports or standard system same price) and they seem to have great service so i might go with them.

i called up one mob, they put me on hold and left me listening to john laws for 5 min, fair enough im on hold but i really didnt want to listen to john laws!

ill get a quote off sure flow mufflers.

let ya know how i go.

cheers guys

Wow, I'm awating on a quote for a cat back atm, I drive a BA, I assume this will increase the cost vs. E series? You all seem to have got them pretty cheap.

The only quote I have got so far is for $1560 from some place in joondalup, full system I'm not going there!

I'm getting it done at my mates dad's shop instead. I told him my budget is $500 so we will see what he says, Probably can get stainless for that?

hey guys im getting the system on today, same place, carline mufflers for $280, they only have redback systems in stock, i wanted mercury so he is ordering it in for me for the same price, i like the note of mercury more.

i really dont have time to muck around with doing it myself at the moment as i work 7 days.

I just picked up the car now, it goes so much better mthe old system was absolutely screwed with rattles and leaks and everything so im happy about that, although it doesnt sound much different to before. the old system had all these holes in it so it sounded loud. i got the main muffler and the rear resinator, im thinking i shouldnt have got the resinator now.

oh well not too fussed with it really car will be getting sold in a few months anyway.
