Gday just wondering if anyones knows of a good diff place to rebuild a diff in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

just got a quote from trans diff in Kilsyth
New LSD centre $740, rerace $500, pull the diff out of the car and labour $240 and 3.9 gears $640 $2120 $2320 inc gst. Sounds like a s**t load???

I think we are talking about the same place. Have been told to use bayswater diffs but haven't tried them yet. |

I can do hill runs in mine without stepping out, driving as hard as I can. They never single spin, so if you need traction, you either have traction or wheelspin. I want to get another lokka for my soon to be daily EL.....

so how dose a locka feel driving then? why use it over a lsd?

a Lokka feels normal to drive, they are better than an LSD as they don't wear out. also, the are more predictable, as you KNOW what they are going to do for a given throttle application.

buy the gears from ebay seller username "vicmelboz"
i bought my diff gears from him, and they were in very good condition for used gears. The savings there should bring you to your $1500 bugdet although i still think its overpriced..... here an ebay listing for brand new LSD for $550 http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Borgwarner-Heavy ... 439fa23dd5 |
