Hey guys i bought some 18 inch mags for my EB II and i would like to keep the speedo reading as close to stock as possible !

What are the stock tyres that dont throw out the EB II Speedo?
Also what tyres should i look at getting for my 18's?

235/40 is within .5km @ 100kmhr, basically the standard 18" tyre.
How much do you want to spend on rubber?
Nankang, Nexen, Maxxis are all fairly good and on the chep side. Heck my mates got Achilles on his, and they grip fine both wet n dry.

Looking at trying to get all rubber for $300 not sure if i can though !

Within 5km is that talking to speedo being slower or faster?

Think 600 for rubber, for cheap cheap cheap stuff.....You will be lucky to get that cheap.

Otherwise, try Tyrepower at Parafield airport....Dodgy as hell, but sell second hand tyres.

Just dont be surprised when they bottom out your car on the hoist ramp, get the back tyres chirping moving your car, and leave grease all over the interior....

f**k useless as hell, but cheap as hell....

Also, be prepared for the ride to turn to s**t. I don't care how many people say its the same, its not.

Should look awesome though!

Also, Krisisdog is saying .5km, not 5km. You wouldn't even notice, the speedo is less accurate than that anyway.

i just paid $175 each for falken ze329.. i would say falken is a mid range price/quality..

the only way you would get 4 tyres for $300 would be second hand ones

Hey mate,

Both myself (19s) and my mate (20s) are running achilles (uni directional race pattern) and really cant fault them. They are quiet, grip EXTREMLY well wet and dry, dont squeel and dont seem to be wearing at all. I can get a full set of 245x35/19 delivered to my door for under $700, then allow prolly $20/$30 for fitting. It would obviously be cheaper for 18s.

Hopefully that gives you a lil bit more of an idea on what you will have to pay.

You wont get tyres cheaper than on ebay, however just be mindful of shipping.

Good tyres
Achilles
Nankang
Falken
Federal

I think i may have to get the tyres in pairs ! Will there be any issue running the mags on the back and the stockies on the front?

Ok i did a calculation and assuming the stock tires for an EB II (14inch Series) are 195/75/14 then the 235/40/18 are the best bet but can someone confirm the stock tire with me please?
