It's just a matter of picking it up... which I don't want to do unless I know I can get it fitted.

Just to clarify.. I don't mind whether this is a backyard job or if someone knows someone with a workshop and I just leave it to them. Preferably I'd like to be there and helping out.. I'm not completely useless after all, just need direction. I changed the cam and valve springs in my car already.

That sounds bloody good.. I'll bring a carton and a bottle for booze.
I've cleaned out my shed.. so I might go pick up this 5spd kit on the weekend and leave it in the shed :)

I throw up mmy hand to help out as well. HAvent done one before, so it will be interesting to get it done.

Plus someone needs to keep an eye on Frank. You never want him left alone with your vehicle... :)

Well i might be able to give you a hand depending on work...

The pedal box is the hardest bit to change, you will need to pull the dash back to get it out.

You will need about 3x long 1/2" drive extension bars and 17mm + 19mm sockets, and also a universal joint to get the top bellhousing bolts out with the auto.

Also dont forget you need to buy a spiggot bearing, and while your at it, might as well change the rear seal. You are putting a new clutch in right?
