That includes labour. Originally he quoted me $250 but he does a bit of work on my car, fiance's car, dad's car and mum's car so he gave me a little discount :P

Hey Guys,

I had my Auto flushed the other day from a ford dealer up the road - I got this whiney/squeeling noise when I was accelerating. Once the flush was done the Auto sounded great -- for about 3 days. Then the whine/squeel came back and it seems to be getting worse now - so much so it does it when it is in PARK! (Yes.. park - buggered if I know). Is it possible this could be coming from the torque converter - or if anyone knows what it could be could you let me know - starting to worry about it and I haven't found a mecho yet here in Melbourne that I can trust that won't rip me off!!!

Thanks heaps!

so a simple service, like $30 for the bottle of oil and $30 for the pan gasket, filter and o-seal. if you getting it professionally done prolly $150ish including labour (but any tospot can easily do it themselves).
If you getting a full flush prolly $250++...

I get mine done every 15,000km ... or around every 3 months ... I do about 60,000km a year though ... but it gets a hard life doing courier work and towing.

I might be up for a new "stronger" auto soon .... with a stally and an aftermarket oil cooler as well.

Ok.. so now my tranny appears to be F**k - was driving home from town and the auto started to slip... BAD. I was told by Fraud that my S5 Solenoid is on its way out - I'm assuming with the 40 Degree day that melbourne has had today that the poor thing is stinkin hot. Does anyone know anyone who won't want one of my firstborns who could replace the S5 for a reasonable amount? I'm in the Inner northern suburbs of Melbourne.
