I did a search of the posts 4 ages and havnt really found an answer. What size adaptors do i need 4 au wheels on the ef. 25m or 30mm or 35mm

Ok stop the slinging for the last time about" ILLEGAL"
every post about ADAPTORS gets hogged with the word "ILLEGAL" Now back to the post look at the offset diffrence between the rims standard should be 6' & 32' off the top of my head. Ring or go to Tempe Tyres website or any WHEEL/RIM specialist shop not ya average joe blow tyre dealer as they will fob you off where as the RIM specialist will sell them as they sell them for road & track. At the end of the day if you drive on adaptors its your choice & several of us do run with adaptors we just dont advertise for certain reasons

Every state has there own power to make there own relevant road rules and have there own transport authorities! HUB ADAPTORS ARE NOT ILLEGAL IN ALL STATES! And they are not dangerous if there done properly, yes spacers are, but hub adapters are very safe if there done correctly and the right nuts (unlike the last d**k who was flaiming them when his wheel came off who used nuts for steel wheels!!!)! I got mine from Tempe Tyres, almost a year now and no worries! |

What states are they legal in? (without engineer approval?) I don't give a s**t either way, I'd avoid using them personally, but I do think it's important that people realise they could be illegal (Are in Vic and NSW), and to check their states regs and not listen to some random C*** on the internet saying 'they are legal/illegal and safe/unsafe'.

Define correctly!! Do you actually know what holds your car up & the stresses involved over bumps & braking??? What feature (that most of them are missing or offer a tiny excuse for one) makes them safe??? Surely you must know (you can answer that one daggy082 if you think you are capable). It ain't the wheel studs that should be taking the weight!!!

Some of the dodgey companies sell them without the centre peice. and there perfectly legal here in Tassie. |

Well, Ill be getting some soon, and even after reading all this, my opinion hasn't changed.
And sam12h, this will probably give you a heart attack, but Ive got a mate that was thinking of using longer studs and washers for his new rims. So atleast we use hub adaptors, which as twr7cx said if done properly will be fine. I don't see the point of arguing anyway, every f**k huib adaptor post has this in it. Aftermarket filters are illegal, wide rims are illegal, sleeping with family members is illegal and so is walking around naked in public... people know this, if I want hub adaptors I will get them. Which means you got angry and worked up for nothing.. waste of time in my opinion. While Im cruising around on my awesome new wheels, and if it just so happens that one falls off, Ill be like aahh... s**t, shouldve tightened it harder. Anyway, leave legalities to the authorities, or become one, till then leave the man and his questions in peace. And his question wasn't about legalities. Cheers

Lol wen i asked this question i never thought it would come to this after all i just asked wat size to get and now ive found out so i say we close this debate cause no 1 will win. Get them if u want them. If not just keep it to yaself. oh www.tempetyres.com.au they have them
