ahhh f**k ttf! when i was looking for rims i went there, the guy said i couldnt get the rims i want in 19s and had to go 20s, and i didnt want 20s and said they were too big for me and he's just like no there not they fit fine rah rah, tried to sell me these "new" rims for 3.5k and said i would be the 1st in australia to have em on my ba and im just thinking who gives a f**k.

went to buy direct tyres & wheels in thomastown, told him what i wanted, he showed me and got the wheels in an hour later, fitted while i watch and i've been happy ever since :)

Yep!
I wouldnt let them touch the FBT knowing what they are like or any car for that matter, they could just have easily done something that wasnt fixable without replacement!!

i always suggest that i want to watch whenever anyone works on my car, ive pulled up an exhaust shop as they went to do some very dodgy joining - my cat already had about 3 joins infront of it and they went to add a 4th, i suggested they cut it all off and start fresh since i was paying nearly $400 for the work, another time it was "dont even think of putting those balance wieghts on the outside of my rims" (didnt watch when the tyre went on my spare and guess where the balance wieght is).

a LOT of places think your never goign to find out so who cares?

ttf and factory direct are the same i think. comes up as ttf on the reciept.
and i dont like that thomastown one personally.

IMO i have never been to a tyre joint where they actually wanted the werk, or where they have good customer service. bob jane t marts, ttf, factory direct, beaurepairs.

if sumbody can point me in the direction of a good tyre joint in the northern suburbs, id be grateful, ill need new tyres in a couple of months.

Thomastown TTF is gay as hell...went there to get a quote for my car to get it lowered....wanted new springs and the guy kept telling me its going to cost me more and there is no point...just compress them and i was like.....i don't want them compressed and he kept babbling.....so i just never lowered the car.

BTW EBII92 i went to Bob Jane T-Marts in Greensborough and they don't seem too bad....or Good Year on High St in Thomastown...they may charge a lot but they still do good services and such. K-Mart Auto wasn't too bad but I think they do a bit of a dodgy job....never bought my car there but my dad used to bring his van there.

i bought a set of 17" ba xr8 copies at ttf in dandenong, after f**k me around 4 times about some discoloration on all 4 wheels, i found out that they had threaded one of the bolts on the front drivers side.

they did knock $250 off the price tho, which was good.

TTF in WA, rockingham i have found to be very good....very quick, good prices, good quality stuff and they sell you what you want and you actually watch them through the window in the main office., not what they want. i keep going there over the local BOB Jane or Beua Repair as theer rip offs, lazy, and a bunch of d*cks.
