hey guys i know a guy who says he has a manual gearbox out of a ef xr8 for sale and basically i want to know how to tell if its out of a 8 or a 6? just to prevent myself from possibly buying the wrong box cheers

They differ between 6 & 8, and i have a feeling the starter might be on the other side of the bellhousing as well. TBH i have not been under my Xr8 to compare it's T5 with the T5 in my I6 Ghia. On a V8, the starter is on the passengers side, ans the clutch cable connects on the drivers side. i6 Clutches are passengers side .
