i just fitted up a quick shifter and i cant go from 3rd to 2nd without it crunching out or gear. what do you thinks causing it?

it was doing it with the old shifter but i could stop it most the time. now idk. am i doing something wrong?

Sounds to me like the 2nd gear synchro ring is worn.

When I put in my billet shifter, I noticed it amplified any issues I had with my box.

my diff is on it way out could that be doing it. the box is a "reco"

Does it crunch going into gear? or go into gear and pop back out?

And no, your diff should not have any effect on gear selection issues in the box.

Have you set up the shifter stops to far in on the billet shifter?

problem solved. i put more oil in bout 600ml and its running alot smother..

yeah but of course after one thing comes another... my diff has taken a sharp dive downhill and making a whine noise only over bumps tho. it only has to last me till Friday... then get me to bairnsdale and home with the new diff..... please work! lol
