Last december i fitted Superlow King Springs in my EF Sedan but i left the standard shock in due to finances, it looks great but the rear struts were ready to go at the time and now i desperately need to change the front and rear shocks as my car handles terrible over the slightest bump and the shocks are leaking. It feels like a boat and my passengers are going to have spinal problems very soon.

Im looking at spending under $800 for new shocks all round, can anyone recomend me a set which will suit superlows and improve my handling?

Good all round street set up, go for KYBs. Will get these within your budget as well.

Get short stroke rear shocks since your running super lows. You can go through the site sponsor: Hightek Brakes, they'll fix you up.

I'd steer clear of Pedders if it can be helped myself. Monore GT Gas shocks are also good value for money, around $120 for both rears, and $180-ish for both fronts. They do give a slightly firmer ride, but it's still a LOT better than standard shocks.

I put King Superlows in with the standard shocks, within a month all 4 were dead, and the steering wheel would shake for over a second after hitting a bump.

For $800 i'd be considering Koni Reds. I've got the Koni yellows myself and i must say the car has been lowered another inch and it still rides better than what it did with the Pedders stuff.
I've still got the setup at home if you need an interim fix..

Any decent suspension place will carry Konis. Where abouts in Melb are you? If you're near the northern suburbs i can put you onto the guys that did my car.

In regards to the adjustability, the Konis reds can only be adjusted out of the car however the yellows can be adjusted while in the car via a small tab on top of the shock. Note that they are only rebound adjustable..
Do a search on the net for more info - Google is your friend.

Yes, there are coil-over shocks with adjustable height spring platforms, and to answer your next 2 questions, try Whiteline, and yes they are very expensive, over $1000 for the front pair usually... :)

You won't be able to find height adjustable shocks for an EF off the shelf. Your only hope at the moment would be to get some custom made - thats exactly what i was in the process of doing but i gave up when most suspension places started stuffing me around. Custom made height adj. Konis were around the $2,500 mark and height adj. Bilsteins around the $2,800 mark. Whiteline make the Group4 range of height adj. shocks however they havn't made any to suit the EF as yet.
