G'day everyone, I recently put 18s on my car and now my car needs lowering, I would just like some opinions on what it is like to ride with king spring super lows, and how often do you scrape out? Cheers, Zane :-)

It won't bottom out much. Super lows are a pretty practical height for lowered springs. In my experience at least. I just put super lows in my au and am thinking about busting out some ultras :P if your gonna go low, may as well go nuts

Thanks mate, although I don't want to go ultra ;P my mum's old magna used to bottom out on every driveway and it was a pain. Given I'm a student with a sh*t income, what shocks do you recommend? Are these a bit too dodgy? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ford-Falcon- ... 589393345d

Those are the same as the shocks I threw in my au rear. And left the fronts standard. Nothing TO wrong with them. I'm sure they will wear fast or something, I will be upgrading to some monroes or bilstiens front and rears soon though. Probably better to save up and buy good ones in the first place. Not like me

I would get confirmation, but I don't think you need to change the front shocks. Unless el's are different to au's

Thanks mate, I think I will get monroes, although after just looking at my car, I think superlows will cause my 18s to rub on the guard when going over a bump... Has anyone had this problem?

I would rip my bumper off everyday on my driveway if I was on ultras, lol.

Is it illegal to get your guards rolled? I think I might just go superlows rear and lows in front...

If I got lows in the front, would I be able to keep my shocks I have now without rooting them?

Lows are just XR height, so you should be fine with the shocks. You would need to roll your guards if you don't want your tyres to scrub when you're turning, especially full lock parking lot style. I have 235/45/17 on King Spring lows and my tyres scrubbed...once I got them rolled, no issues.

This is just my experience though, many others have had no issues with super lows from what I hear and some had issues.

i have superlows and only bottom out on major humps, and my tailpipe scrapes on most driveways if i dont go in on an angle. i had 235 45 17's on it and never scrubbed.

Alright so I'll keep standard shocks on the front, and probably go monroe GT shocks for the rear. Would i scrub with 18s?
