Hey guys, I'm from Port Hedland, WA so getting parts for my EF isn't as easy as it seems. My EF XR6 has pretty knackered shocks in it, so I want to replace them. I would like to retain the stock ride height as kerbs are high and the roads are bad here. I have been reading a lot of threads on this site such as:

http://www.fordmods.com/gearbox-suspension-brake-driveline-f4/monroe-gt-sport-lowered-shock-absorbers-t73671.html?hilit=Shock%20absorbers&start=20

http://www.fordmods.com/post890716.html?hilit=Shock%20absorbers#p890716

http://www.fordmods.com/gearbox-suspension-brake-driveline-f4/koni-shocks-t60937.html?hilit=shock%20absorbers

http://www.fordmods.com/gearbox-suspension-brake-driveline-f4/koni-bilstein-that-much-better-than-boge-or-ultima-t76471.html?hilit=Shocks

These have been a great resource, but ultimately it comes down to price. So what I was hoping that people could post up what shocks/bushkits/springs that have and how much it cost them (and where the got them)? I'll put it up here at the start of the thread so that others can have a nice resource, and hopefully I can work out what to get. I'll list what I have gathered so far, but if you have them and can confirm it would be good. Everything is per set of 4.

Shocks:

Bilstein -
Koni Red -
Koni Sport - $1000
Pedders Sportryder - $743 (Pedders, Osbourne Park)
KYB -
Boge -
Monroe - $380 - $400
Ultima - $220

Springs:

Whiteline Lows - $340
King Springs (All heights) - $260

Bush Kits (Full Kits):

Nolathane - $700
Superpro - $700

My car came with the setup it has, so I can't give you prices, but i can tell you that i have nolathane bushes in the front and they creak like an 80yr old in the morning. :? I have had it in the suspension place to try to quiten it up, but that only last about a week, then it starts again. I have heard that the super pro bushes are a tad soffter. So they are still pretty firm but ride better and quiter.

I paid $340 new for Selby/Whiteline "Lows" for a set of 4. You could add that in if you wish!

Cheer's guys, updated. I'm on holidays at the moment so updates won't be as often as if I was at home.

Don't forget to specify where you were bought your gear - its free advertising for your shop of choice if you got good service/pricing!
