throwing around ideas, there could be a lot of slip in the converter, maybe like its low on oil or something and its struggling to figure it out.

histalls do a similar thing once theyre installed. needs to be programmed out with a chip

99% of the time a car goes into LHM its due to a solenoid defect.. so take the car to a tranny specialist and get them to check it out instead of doing the trial and error method

Is it an EB Series 1 (w/ TCM) or Series 2 (ECU controls auto)?

I wager it's a fault with the TCM (or ECU) or wiring for the vss input. The TCM/ECU will go into LHM if engine RPM goes higher than a threshold and the VSS doesnt also rise.

well i swaped ecu with my old 1 and nothing changed but im unsure on how to tell if its a series 1 or 2 all i can tell u is the ecu has 60 pins no cruse control or smartlock and the build date is: march 92
