Hey guys,

Just got some 19s put on my ute today and i wanna get it lowered real soon!

I was thinking of getting xr8 suspension put on cos i dont wanna go too low, i am a trady after all so i dont want it to be a problem if i go any lower.

Am i better off getting second hand one or getting an after market one like pedders or herrod?

Any help would be great :)

i reckon aftermarket would perform better...if you were after ride comfort aswell as performance go original stuff, remember ford have to cater for both performance and comfort because people don't use the cars just for performance.

Well i've had a look at a few options, herrod are offering front springs + chamber kit and leaf springs for $1050 which are an inch lower than xr, dont know if i'll have probs bottoming out or anything and pedders are asking $1100 for xr height, dont know the handling or either :?

Anyone got a ba ute lowered that can tell me 1st hand experiance?

How much weight are you going to be putting in it? The standard ute is like 800Kg and XR8 about 650Kg I think. Not sure about aftermarket stuff but assume that you might not be able to put much in it after that.

haro mark =D first time i actually saw u post something. get aftermarkets ;) its guaranteed to work better then used. Since u are a trady dont go too low. never heard of herrods but pedders have a good rep. depends how much money u want to spend =D.
