I'm thinking of lowering my car in the near future and was looking at buying springs of a mate. He has 3 sets all are $220, they are king springs low (~30mm), superlows (~50-60mm) and ultralows (75mm). I was then gonna get the springs installed by my mechanic, the superlows and ultralows will need new struts at the front apparentely so the springs will hold in. I want my car to be pretty low but not illegally low, and still handle considerably alright, at the moment it has 15-inch wheels on it but i will have 17s on it soon. i want the back to be on or just below the tyre when i have the 17s like this - http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_im ... 4_full.jpg

would the ultralows be the way to go or would that be too low?

Ultralows will be waaaay too low. You're looking at superlows if you want the tyre like that. You will need new shocks and most probably a camber kit and new struts for the front if you go superlow on the front.

i sent the guy that owns that car a pm...
the car is extremley rough, i run pedders lowered sports ryder front shocks, and pedders short travel big bore rears. the car is s**t of over speed humps it scrapes on everything (hence why the exhaust has scrape marks the whole way down it). and most driveways, carparks and drive thru's are a big no no...

I've got superlows in my, car, with standard shocks. The ride sucks, but it looks mad. I'd even consider going lower. Only the middle exhaust scrapes, its not too bad!

ive got pedders in mine, which is about bit lower then lows obviously..

i got my exhaust tucked in something chronic compared to most ef/els, so i dont really hit mine much unless i have 5 ppl and its a nasty speed hump..

thanks dude

forgot to mention, i have 18s tho and thats how it sits.
With most exhausts you will fit as their bolt on exhaust system they dont sit CLOSe enuff to the body underneath your car.

Mines approx 1-2cms if that, before it was bolt on height approx 5cm+

about to lower gfs xr from xr height to maybe custom springs or superlows (bit low tho!)
