no need to call him gangster was just hard to understand that is all as some of us dont cut so many letters off even when we text. my ex use to do it all the time and i just never replyed as i never know what she was on about.

diff oil $20
used old gearing
the center from a wreaker is $290
i got mine off a friend who pulled one apart and rebuilt it so it would run all smooth, and it works so well. there not cheep but there strong. car goes sideways too easy even in the dry.

there not overley hard to fit but thats if the axel goes in as mine wasnt lined up correctly. but one that hasnt been pulled apart should only take some one 3 houres, hardest part of the whole job is changing the crown wheel as they are back thred and they are tight other then that its easy as.

i think stockstandard (mark) did a tutorial on it pm him if yur looking at doing it

total cost for me wasnt much at all was under $50 to make it limmited slip,

at you pull it u can get grampa spec lsd's and i think they charge like $40 but the thing is the condition is unknown and u may get a dud or it may only last 2 weeks or you could get one that lasts a few years.

Cheers man! It's not far off what I thought I would be up for over here. What pisses me off is about ten years ago I had a 9 inch L.S.D 300 to 1 that I sold for $300 that I could have traded or swapped for one. Trouble is as strong as they are they rob about 30 horse power!! :)

well if you go to u-pull it take the gears off the center when your there and put skyline ones on and grab a pinnon gear and u could walk away with a 3.9 lsd for $50

Yeah I know what your sayin, but this aint a racer it's a tower for me racer! I need to be able to get the 700ks to a tank. With the 3.08.1 final drive the engine rpm is 1800 at 100ks on the flats and that's towing! Mind you the only aftermarket mods it's got are a transmission oil cooler, extractors and a 2 1/2 inch red back sports exhaust with a high flow cat. She's got 165,???ks on the clock and it's starting to sound like a stolen taxi. So while I've got the diff out I want to make it a bit tuffer and put on a rear sway bar while i'm at it. Do you know anyone who's got a sway bar for the rear of a wagon??

You'll find it better to tow with 3.27:1 diff gears as this lets the engine develop its torque better. Thats why utes (XG some XH) tended to have this ratio.
