hey guys

making a diff with a ebs1 diff 28 spline and i have a fairlane lsd center and i have put it ogether and i cant get the short axel in by 20mm just wont go in any one know why this could happen.

The axle need to pass both the cone and the spider on each side before it seats. You need to spin the axle to align the splines.

one side goes in fully and the other sticks out 20mm ate axels different from abs and non lsd and lsd

The axles are different lengths from side to side but not from E series to E series (ABS or not) I would think. As I said you need to turn the axle in the housing against the force of the LSD while pushing it in.

this is what it looks like now but im guessing i have to put it in 5th then twist and push till it goes in

Might need to put some bearing caps on the center if you havent already. Yes stick in reverse and rotate the axle while pushing in.

ok tryed turning and pushing and it wont budge, could there be any reason for this

Well if it is not going then perhaps one of the following:

The spider gear or cone is broken.
The spider gear or cone is the wrong spline.
The axle is wrong.

where would i find the gear cone got any pics

and it is a ABS axel but it it was in the diff it must go back in

does that mean the center could be stuffed if it dosnt go back in or could be somthing i have don while changing the crown wheels, is it a easy fix if throw it in the bin fix

yep as Above, looks to me like the LSD cone isn't alligned with the spider gear.

'forcefully tap rotate' the axle a bit and push it in

how do i put diff oil in as i cant seem to get anything in there that i can pour it into
