You get what you pay for. KYB are pretty much like stock.

I've been told Koni Adjustables are pretty good and comfy. Springs I am unsure.

Got a quote from a suspension specialist for koni adjustable shocks and low springs for $1600 installed. Thought that was exy but still a good price after getting quotes from other places.

phong =P~

Definatly Koni adjustable's but something thats more cost effective for a daily driver which wont leave a hole in the pocket.

How low is your car now???
When some cars are too low, they ride on the bump stops and the ride is as rough as guts, and they don't handle.
Another thing that can happen is the shockie can sieze up internaly, as in the valving can become stuck.

Standard height but i was thinking of lowering it only 1 inch as its my daily and dont want it low but i dont want it 2 sit the same as it is now. Like the back is just a little over an 1 inch heigher than the front.

So i might just get 1 inch lower on the rear 2 even it out, or after market 1inch lower springs that make the car sit on the same level???

yeah, just got a quote back for my wife's hyundai excel from Pedders. a 28 point suspension safety check totalled $2233.00 worth of repairs.

never again will be going to pedders.

a workshop elsewhere only charged us $140 of repairs which FIXED the steering.

go figure....

If the car is lower at the front than the rear now with OE suspension, then the front springs have sagged. This was very common.
I would replace the shocks & springs. Bring it down to XR6 height, its a good height.

Incredible isn't it. Mine is 2800 odd and they didn't even complete the 28 point inspection as they were rushed. So they didn't charge me the $14. So they must have been guessing the rest.

Also I think they use the EZI-Pay payment method as a lure, then do more work than is required because they think the customers happy, as they get to pay it over 10 months anyway.

Something about Pedders, I don't know what it is, but they feel like a scam to me. I could be be way off the mark though. Midas are probably the same.

I'd reccomend whiteline controls (lows) I rate them. Also i have Boge shocks which cost under 400 posted to me, very comfy ride but still firm enough

Thats what I did, put genuine EL XR6 springs & shocks in my EA. I have since replaced the shocks as they went soft ( were in for a few years), and now have Pedders GSR's in it, with my homemade heat sinks fitted, as well as boot kits to keep crap off the shafts.
