Don't think they are DBA rotors. DBA rotors usually have a painted centre which reduces rust...however that paint does come off with brake cleaner which I found rather dodgy. All I can tell from your pictures, you have Bendix pads with plenty of meat. They look like General CT pads...pretty sure Ultimates are a different colour pads (as in has grains of stuff and is slightly lighter?)...taking a guess here.

Well the pads clearly have DB1108 Bendix on it. I searched in their online catalogue but there were no separate part numbers for General CT, Heavy Duty, Ultimates or Street Race pads.

In regards to the rotors I am unsure. Can't see a part # or anything stamped on the front, might be something on the inside, but that means pulling it off the spindle.

I had a similar issue on my EL Fairmont, and I fixed it by replacing my upper/lower ball joints. The lower ball joint passenger side had a bit of movement. Easy to check just jack the front of the car up and push/pull on each wheel too check for any movement.

cheers....

DB1108 are the ultimates(well according to the box I have here). The bendix product has waned a wee bit in trecent times as they are using a cheaper compound now. The DBA slots on the EB are better now I have had then skimmed and a generic set of pads on them. Just have to fix the bloody steering column as the needle bearing on the firewall has finally collapsed...yet another job to do on this money pit

Pretty sure General CT pads have the same part number. Well according to their site, which is what got me confused.

the bendix pads all have the same part number with the type of material written after the number eg; db1108 heavy duty or db1108 ultimate..

Its not so much that its a cheaper compound its because they can't put asbestos into the compound any more. No other material comes even close to the "good" properties of asbestos
