umm i don't think your s/s would be 3.7 as that's an aftermarket ratio, if so your acceleration will be slower with 3.45's.

I'm assuming its 3.23 maybe (I don't know what ED v8's came with stock?). In this case you will notice a bit better acceleration, won't be as big as going to 3.7's or 4.11's, but then you will still maintain pretty good economy on the highway with 3.45's.

Firstly, you will love it, makes corning a breeze, predictable and improves your driving :)

Second, i know nothing about installing them, but installing the diff itself is alot easier than doing the gears cos you dont need to pay a pro like 8hours labour to get all the tensions right.

Third, you will love it.

It's worth it, but it will strap on you if you are spinning them up after a few seconds (in my experience anyways).

Your speedo will be out by a bit, get a calculator and work it out, its pretty simple once you know what you have, if its stock you wont have any trouble, cheers

your v8 fairmont should have 3.27 lsd from factory??
if your diff was a single spiner it might have been changed or the lsd was shaged??
