i have been noticing a lot of lag when accelerating => coasting. jacked up 1 rear wheel and tested where it is coming from. with the gearbox in first, there is minimal play. by selecting 5th there is what felt like 5 - 10 degrees of turn in the wheel!!!
what do you think is wrong? gearbox or clutch???
creers, michael

thats about normal mate, all manuals have lash, but also check how much lash is in the diff as well, by turning the tailshaft, not the wheel

yeah mine has chronic play in the driveline...... when you half let the clutch out, you can hear a clunk from the bellhousing

This is after 2 new set of clutches, bearings, new clutch fork, machined flywheel etc

really? i still think i might make the time to pull out the gearbox and check things over. i'm thinking i might have damaged the clutch plate giving it to it too hard...
