To all Ford Falcon Owners:

It would be interesting to see what size tyres/rims people use and what psi they pump their tyre pressures to.

Brand: Supercat
Size: 225/50 R16 92V
Front: 34psi
Rear: 40psi

Please list yours.

I think you'd get a better result if you ran the fronts higher than the rears.
I run 40psi front, 38 rear. 235/45/17s

Supercats are made by Bridgestone IIRC. theyre a non-directional tyre, but there quite good in my opinion. my 17's were bout 165 each.

That's interesting, why do you set your fronts higher?

So it handles! You'll find if you swap your pressures around, there will be a massive difference.

How do you get maximum fuel economy?

Higher fronts and lower backs?

or Higher backs and lower fronts?

or equal psi on all wheels like what KWIKXR did?

lol, once your tyres are around the correct levels, fuel economy difference is SFA.
Probably get best results with equal, high pressures all round.

I have it higher on mine at the front because I found I like the back end to have a bit more grip, as the cars naturally tail happy. It doesnt oversteer anywhere near as much as a stocker, and with my suspension setup it just seems to work good that way.
It also takes off a bit better as it can grab a bit more traction with lower rears, which is needed lol.

Front
Brand: Kumho KU31
Size: 225/50 R16 92V
Pressure: 37psi

Rear
Brand: Kumho KU25
Size: 225/50 R16 92H
Pressure: 35 psi

I found my car suffered from understeer with the pressures the same all round, although that was at a constant 35 psi. I lowered the rear 2psi and raised the front, makes the car far more prone to oversteer, especially having grippier tyres on the front. Now the rear tread is getting a bit low, i upped the rear pressure a bit as it still oversteers with the higher pressure, but is more predicable in a slide.

seems to work alright, the rear is set a little softer to try help it hook up.

Brand: Bob Jane Allrounders
Size:205/65R15
Pressure: 40psi (cold... not driven to the servo then filled)

Reason: 80% of my k's are at 80-110 with cruise cont on. This pressure has economy and handling/braking benefits over recommended pressure.

The round town bumps are more noticeable, but on stock suspension it's no drama.
