Uhh, if its a car dealer how hard do you really think it would be to prove ownership of a HSV? And who do you need to prove ownership to? The parts supplier of a... CAR DEALER ..

They are Holden optional GTS 20" wheels from the Holden dealer fitted to the car when new.

These wheels cost him about $4000 extra.

That's crap. HSV don't sell their parts for use on Holdens. Just like FPV. You have to provide proof of ownership of a FPV before you can by anything FPV specific.

Me thinks dealer doing the dodgy.

I'd quite like to know if these were a dodgy dealer or not, as my boss has a malloo with a set of these, especially considering how much he carries his spare after finding how much of a pain in the a** it was to change the first time.

It'd suck to be in the middle of know where laden up with no spare, and ban your f**k even if you do keep it controlled.

I was trying to see what was written on the back of the wheel in my pictures. I did try to look at the markings when he was showing me. My 2MP camera phone does not show enough detail to make them out.

The one that failed looks alot like the OE option rim rather than the copy. Im sure ther are more other subtle differences in OE and copy rims other than the valve flange. What is the rim called again! cant be bothered looking through the posts!

I looked at the Holden website and they are called Supersport20" in the options list and cost $2099

Not the same wheels. The ones in the thread, are GTS (most likely copies), not those supersport ones.

I will check the GTS web stuff.

I was not really sure as the stupid Holden site had a micro sized picture of the wheels. They look Very similar but I was not 100% sure. I am sure Adam told me they were $4k extra and not $2k.

Now I see they are definitely the GTS rims from the HSV site. But the question remains as to who really made them? and why did this one explode? And why did the holden dealer knock him back on a warranty claim?

I was sure they would have replaced it free of charge to cover up any bad press.

If it was my wife's Territory, I would be ringing "A Current Affair" right now.
