Hi i have a 1984 xf panelvan it is 3 speed colum shift and no power steering i just wanted to know is it possible to put power steering on a colum shift car.

I can't see why not? the steering column is separate from the Box so I guess you could.

The main thing is the cost of all the stuff you will need, Box, pressure lines, Steering Coupling and of course, Pitman arm.

I did one about 10 yrs or so ago, in an XF ute. I had to move the column mounting, and push the steering shaft up in the column. The power steering box is longer than a manual box, the pitman arm is different too, as too is the flexible steering coupling.

to do a 3 speed to 5 speed swap what will i need besides a 5 speed box.
Does anyone know.

The box for starters, a clutch kit ( 3spd smaller shaft than 5spd ), not sure on flywheel size, maybe the same...tailshaft length????......and a clutch cable to suit 5spd.
