How the hell can you afford such quality mods? Haha i have trouble saving for a rocker cover gasket let alone an engine rebuild, turbo and gearbox! Though a piss poor pay of 450 a week is getting me nowhere quickly.

Live Frugally, start your own business and keep investing in it.. You'll see the returns eventually fordman351. I am not sure if this is out of the gospel of pyroay but that's one way to do it.

Another way, get a decent full time job and keep moving up the ladder. Banks will love the dedication and as long as you have good credit rating, you'll keep getting loans (up till a certain point) for 'cool' car parts but you'll pay for it in the future.

Another update. Got it back on the Dyno after tunning. The dyno is a different one to normal and apparently is quite conservative in it's outpus (by approx 15rwkw) and the results are as follows.

190rwkw @ 2500rpm
320rwkw @ 3500rpm
390rwkw @ 4000rpm
Over 400 rwkw from 4200rpm - 5100rpm (we didnt graph any higher)

Max 405.5rwkw on 19psi @ approx 4800rpm

Then we removed the exhaust and did some re-mapping and got 428rwkw but could only hold it for a few seconds as it is difficult without the exhaust pressure to help regulate it.

So all up quite a good result and now a solid 400rwkw + car on any dyno.

We also tidy'ed the map up on idle and fuel economy on cruise is now very good and looks like being around 500km on highway on Optimax.

Just for interest on the highway it does:
1800rpm in 6th @ 100km
2000rpm in 6th @ 110km

That is the final power upgrade for the car as we are now starting to run tot he limits of the turbo and i do not want to get a larger turbo and suffer from lag and less drivability.

Where to from here
COncentrate onn finishing the auido set-up and make ti to a heap of meets. I will be running a number of audio meets late in the year and early next year including SPL and SQ events for people to tune their cars and have a bit of fun.

Then looking down the track i am looking at a BA (mk2) or BF XR6T ute and modnfying that. Not tot he same extent as this but is will still be tidsy with 300rwkw+, 18's, and a killer audio system.

Thnk about how much hes put into it mate; effort and money!
Not to mention the emotional attachment and all the good and bad memopries that come with it; this will be a pretty penny, but of course there will be a huge loss to be had as with every heavily and uniquely modfied car..

I cant believe you just spent 8k on parts, i rem about 1.5yrs ago you said you were gonna have to cut back LOL!

Top work, that car is a dream come true for you and many others.

Yeah thanks, as mentioned not going to part with it in the short term but over the next 18months or 2 yr's i'll certainly be looking to.

Not sure what i'll ask i know JETXR was asking $49,000 for his which IMO he was never going to get and he had, less power (i know for a fact at least 30rwkw less) , Standard T5 (not a $9k 6 speed), did not have the AP racing brakes or Kamelion paint nor a $10,000k + stereo.

I suppose somewhere between $35,000 - $45-000 depending on whats included with the sale. Total spent would be getting close to $100,000.

I would think that is a fair price for a car producing nearly 700hp at the motor + one of the best sounding cars in the country but i'm sure the bidders will tell me what price the market will accept. I would hope there is a bit of interest in it when it comes time to sell, it will also have been published in Street Machine by then i am just finishing some stuff off before the photoshoot which will hopefully happen later on this year.

I'm tossing up between an XR8 (EL/AUII/BA) or an R32 Skyline GTR atm, but if I had the $$$$ when you were ready to sell and heard about it I'd love to one day own a full house EL XR6 turbo, even if all the work was done for me.

Keep up the amazing work on the car mate and good luck in any and all comps you enter with it! I'm sure many eyes will be watching for the time when you do decide to sell.

Nice box, thats a similar setup to what i was going to get from Mal Wood, but have decided to keep the Auto and go a 2800Stall with custom internals. I need an auto capable of holding about the same amount of rwkw, by the time i am done
