Hi guys
Thinking I might get my EF diff ready on the weekend to put it in the ute so I stop tripping over the bloody thing.
Will be fitting a lockrite to it so need to remove the centre.
I remember reading somewhere years ago that if you lined something up in the correct spot the centre popped out really easy with a tyre lever.
Unfortunately I can no longer find the info.
Can anyone enlighten me on what the go is?
Matt

The centre will be very hard to get out because of the side shims, try to lever off somewhere that isnt a sealing surface and be careful not to break the shims.Persevere and it will come out. There is no real secret dude.

If the axle has done a few k it should be easy to remove it will be firm but not tight mark the shims before removing the shims set the mesh engagement and preload

They do come out relatively easy. I pulled mine when i broke the axle, as it was still on the centre. Wasn't so easy to get back in. If you can spread the diff by about 2mm, it will pop back in. I used a set of G clamps and wound them out, it opened it up enough to pop back in.
