Hey boys,
Been reading here for a while now but have never posted before but i'm after some help. I'm changing all my rotors on my BA XR6T and am having trouble getting the rears of. I see that there are some torque screws inside the rotor, do these need to be removed? Also there a special tool to remove the large black nut on the axle thread. Thank You and any help is appreciated. |

don't know about the rears but, the fronts come off when you remove the wheel and the calipers. the b.a.'s have a separate sealed hub and the big nut that holds the hub on. this needs a36mm socket (usually found in a 3/4/drive socket set) this hub is not a tapored roller, it needs to be bolted on tight. one ford dealer told me 300nm. when i asked others they just said f**king tight mate.

dont take off the hub nut... thats on the front. thats for your front wheel bearing (sealed unserviceable unit). The rear rotors are hard to get off when
1 - you havnt backed off the handbrake 2 - Havent been off for some time and get corroded into place. other then that, 2 bolts for brake calliper and the rotors fall off generally. |

oh and sometimes there might be a grub screw locating the rear rotors, phillips head, black. cant miss it if its on.

make sure the hand brake is off!! and if it is use a slegy to get them off. thats wat we did with my mates BA XR

Even the fronts rust on. It took quite a bit of leverage to get mine off when I swapped the old 298mm fronts with 322mm slotteds.
