can someone help me out here and tell me which to pins on the ecu the wires connect to on a 1996 XH ute 6cyl. My engine does not have the bbm if that helps.

Fitted the shift kit modification into the fairlane(switchable),last weekend.Works great am very impressed with it.I love the gear changes.If i stop at a intersection or whateva and then tromp it the fairlane wheel spins all the way through 1st and a then abit into 2nd.Its a beauty....Even at half to 3/4 throttle it chirps nice and hard and gets the car out of shape which is nice.

which wires do i cut n which resistors do i use to mod an au II forte.....already done this to my eb nd it fukked my uni's but a new au should take it nicely

Any guys with a stall converter used this?? Any problems??
Ive got a 2800 stall and was wondering when it flashes up after stalling it, will there be any more "kick" with this mod??? Seems fairly straight foreward, but is it neccessary to get both 18ohm and 5.6ohm resistors in 10w?? Will like 5W burn up or something?? Thanks fellas. |

ok then ordering off the jaycar site how do i know which resistors i need, im in the 10 watt section but the numbers and so on confuse me, if someone could point me in the right direction it would be muchly appreciated

Hey guys, im looking at doing this to my EA 4sp(Series II ?) CPI "monster". I know that i need to mod the transmission "section" of the ECU but im not sure where it is located and what pins i need to use. Any insight to this problem would be greatly appreciated!

.- mike I did it to my cpi EA. The computer is above the drivers left knee. I said which wires to cut it an earlier post. Look it up cos i cant be bothered |

hay, just wondering, i just purchesed the same thing of ebay, put it in and it feels like it would be sweet but every time my gear box goes to shift into gear theres a very hard change, doesnt sound healthy. any suggestions?

have any of you guys considered what effect this has on you clutch packs? i mean not oil then WHAM OIL it cant be good for them i'v been talking to my old man who is
a top notch mechanic and talking about bout the kit and any shift kit is about (PERFORMANCE) NOT LIFE TIME QUALITY EXPECT TO DO SOME LONG TERM HARM

If your worried about long term effects, then simply dont install a shift kit. Shift kits have been around for years, nearly every auto that goes on a drag strip has a shift kit. It is needed, to stop the trans cooking itself. As far as transmission life, It will last longer with a shift kit than without. As for the rest of the drivetrain, the shift kit will place more stress on components therefore you will need to keep up the maintainence.
