I'm just wondering what options there are for the BTR trans in terms of shift kits that prolong the life of the box for a boosted I6.

I have heard of some electronic mod. What exactly does this mod do?

What about upgrading the sol 5 with an AU one?

Is there any other DIY mods out there?

How much does an upgraded vavle body cost?

have a search is this forum, there is a 20 page or so topic on making your own. or you can purchase them from several places.

essentially, they are a resistor that goes on the transmission plug. it up the line pressure making it shift faster.

as for pro longing the life of the box. maybe, but it will just shift the stress to the next weakest link (even more so in boosted applications) as you can imagine, slamming it into gear with all that torque going though it.
