Anyone got any experience in having a rim repaired on 3 peice wheels (specifically Simmons). I've flat spotted a peice on the rim today when traveling up a very rickity road to a ski slope. It's not much out, the tyres still holding air and there's no nasty vibration when driving.

I remember when I was originally looking at buying the Simmons I was told the rims were softer than on most wheels, but were also easier to repair. True?

In Melbourne I would say go to Steves Wheels for them to repair them. You could mail the damaged rim to them for repair.

There used to be a place - rays world of wheels I think in Qbn.

I think you can probably just get the rim re-rolled, but I dont know.

Yeah you can get the rim rerolled scott - Most alloy joints will be able to name a repairer or have a repairer.
I only know places over here in melbourne, let me know if you want some contact details for business over here

The rims pop up on eBay every now and then, or probably still avaiable from Simmons.
