Jesus they are a harsh pad and theres proof.

I'm glad I sold my car with those on before they got to that condition.

Everyone rush out and change them to EBC Greenstuffs.

My slotted rotors have been machined 3 times and the slots still look new. Have also done sereval track days with Bendix Ultimates and they are wearing fine.

Thats f**k, I've got Bendix Ultimates on mine, might have to check the condition of the rotors or upgrade to EBC's, what are they worth per pad?

I got the car at 155000Km & the brakes rotors had ultimates in the calipers. Then at 18000Km I replaced them with ultimates then at 198000 the 2nd set of ultimates were steel on steel then thats when I had a lip forming & I put standard pads on to stop anymore eating away, then at 201000 I was going to get the rotors machined but was told by 6 places they would'nt do it then finally at 207858 the rotors & pads were replaced & tommorow I'll get the brakes flushed and the car is sitting on 209081 as we speak.
purchase date of the car was 14/06/04
thats what my job does.Occupation GAS METER READER
And now trialing LUCAS pads as EBC are a special order.

Standard sets you can pick up 100-105 bucks from the fronts, the fbt ones your looking at some stupid amount, id know :(

$250 or something - really was insane altho they last, bite and dont fade/dust too much with slotted rotors.

so you got 2 sets of ultimates through them and one set went to metal.

i'd say you got pretty good wear out of rotors, 50 000km is not to bad at all

Lucas pads are better than Bendix, I friend of mine said that lucas pad compound is one that a bendix engineer was working on but for some reason he got the s**t with them and took it to the lucas people and now thats what they use. I was after the bendix's for the rear of my car and he said to use the lucas instaed even tho he sells both, I would have used EBC greens on the back but they aren't avail for my calipers.

Lucas pads SUCK. I was told to try them when bendix stopped the Asbestos.

Tore through the disks QUICK, and so dusty.

I use EBCs now. $120 a set at my local Auto Store.

For all you who keep asking what we reccomend, EBC Greenstuff!

Good price can be found, they have been proven by MANY of us and more, have low dust, bite like no tomorrow, dont squeek, dont chew rotors like most and have an awesome fade rate over any bendix ive used!

I used to use bendix - if you dont care about brake dust and rarely 'use' your brakes then they should be fine, are known to chew thru rotors pretty bloody fast altho you get a cheaper pad/shortened rotor life, it all equals out in the end honestly.
