its time to upgrade the rotors on my el sedan. I have been qouted $250 for slotted rotors (front). This is including the bearings and pads. Is this a good price?

Including bearings and pads it's pretty good price. But if your wanting to get great brakes, spend the extra and make sure your getting some very decent brake pads!

What brand would you recommend Bendix are a good brand, but there a brand, they make a few models ranging from $40 a set right up to $180! So you'd be wanting one of the higher performance sets. Or those Greenstuff are popular (but I've never tried them). |

Ive had slotted with greenstuff pads in both my cars now, my old wheels were very closed in so it was hard to tell about break dust as what got on them was more dust off the road.. The rims i got now are very open and the dust still s**ts me, im thinking maybe i need to try a brake dust repelant on my rim, i think they are silicon based n make for a smooth surface which the dust has trouble sticking too. I still highly reccomend them.

I've found bendex ultimates worked very well. Metal Kings are too harsh on the rotor.
Not sure about brake dust as i wash the car twice a week so it never gets too dirty....

Let us know how that goes. I've got similar troubles, wheels go from gold to black in under a week.

I've heard that bendix ultimates are way too tough on the rotors aswell pyroay.
Bendix advanced or greenstuff seem to be the way to go. Greenies are expensive tho.
