For the rear mounts, they were welded back onto the chassis. For the fround D mounts, re-tap and big bolt. No problems since :)

Is this normal?

It's seems so mate, so far me, Nicko and Waggin have done it - at least I'm in good company!

Anyways, she's back together now, bent the bracket back as best I could (and did a mighty fine job of it too I might add), and there's a nut wedged up there and it's all holding nice. Drove one side of the car up on the kerb to test her out and she passed.

exact same thing happened to me as well, and i know of 3 other cars that have done it

I just used a high tensile bolt with a nut on the back of it, was a royal pain in the a*** to get it all to happen but it did eventually.

Fraser was telling me he got an EL GT front swaybar for about $75. Does that sound right?

If so, I'll be ringing sunshine Ford in the morning.

Ive got a whiteline adjustable bar and ive had no trouble from it.
Its so fat it has a wider bracket, and the bolt holes are too big in it for the standard bolt head, so I run 2 different sized washers.

I should really have a good look to see how its holding up.
