hi guys
i have been wondering about this issue for a while (well cince i bought the car)

from the right hand side of the car when moving i get a Squeak sounds kinda like a cricket on rotation of wheels
i have had ford have a look at it when i bought the car and also today
they say there is nothing wrong

however i know this noise is not meant to be there or all cars would do it

i have noticed 90% of the taxi's in melb do make this noise but mine is not an ex taxi

the car has done 120,678k and i just cannot pinpont the noise
other issues that have arisen is it seams like i have disc grab on the same side but only after releasing the handbrake i hear the noises maily at night or in undercover car parks but they realy annoy me

i have had all disks macined and pads changed but noise is still there :evil:

i again appoligise i am new at these issues as all other cars i have owned had way more noises and were well from before 93

Get someone to check your hand brake...It may be jammed or something causing the hand brake to still have a bit of grab.

Mine grabs on for a bit as it rolls down the hill and suddenly stop..eventually it gives in and releases and i have a normal smooth ride hahaha

phong =P~

Fixed sqeaking it was the blody hubcap being loose there you go

as for grinding its not the hand brake or the brakes sticking but i dont trust the mechanic much because he said i can "look over the car full for 500"

so im poping round to dads later and get him to look

also soething i noticed only today is slopy gear change and delay going into revers only notice today as its 40 deg must get that looked at mabey its not cooling enough

WHen the handbrake is not adjusted properly, you will get a strange noise coming from the rear like the brakes are dragging. Some mechs don't bother checking properly and make sure all surfaces are clean and the shoes adjusted right.
Find yourself a good mech at a brake place or try a Ford dealer who has a good mech to adjust it properly, should fix it. :)
