JUST A QUICK QUESTION?
EVER SINCE I GOT MY BA XR8 UTE LOWERED,A STRANGE RATTLING NOISE APPEARS WHEN I GO OVER POT HOLES.IS IT SUSPENSION,DRIVE LINE OR BODY RATTLE.ANYONES SUGGESTIONS WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED.[/u][/i][/b]

same thing in my el, when i go over bumps and potholes i hear a rattle im thinking suspention cause the shocks are rooted maybe its that otherwise iv'e got no idea.

The shocks shouldnt go in just over 3 years, if they were replaced with shortened shocks it wouldnt be the cause either.

i have a knock when i go over bumps and such, turns out it is the steering rack that is rooted.

Concorde make sure its not just the rack ends, i had that same clunk in my rack cost me $41.00 to replace both rack ends, knocks all gone and no more outer tyres scrubbing due to toe in.

yeah i did, i thought it ws the rack ends but its actually the rod inside the rack that got the play in it. $320 for a reco rack down here, will be looking in Sydney for better prices.

I've got the same problem and midas found it to be the muffler support hitting the bar just below where your amplifier is located. Midas is very well aware of this because every had similar problem. You need to bend it a little bit further to the right to keep it away from hitting the underbody ladder frame.

The problem isnt my car its Xcited's!! he has the lowered BA ute.... i did mention it could be the exuast as the car is a bit young to have worn shocks or steering racks!!!

well my rack has had a knock in it for a while maybe thats the cause...

HAVE A LOOK AT THE TOP WISH BONE AND SEE IF THAY ARE TIGHT THE NUTE ARE IN THE FIRE WALL . ALSO GET THE BALL JOINTS CHECKED
