hey all, im looking at getting a suspension kit off ebay, http://cgi.ebay.com.au/MONROE-GT-SHOCK- ... 4cf531e0a9, ill be purchasing in 2 weeks, so i pretty much need to make my mind up on how low, this is where i need your advice, basically its stock height with stockies on it, and i wont be changing the wheels anytime soon, and its got a 2.5" catback, that in mind, what would you choose, also i dont want to have to be modifying the car so it dont rub the gaurds or anything

also, i know there is probly better shock out there but, im doing this on a budget and im happy with monroe's.

the car is an ef sedan btw

i think it depends on what your after dude, but its a good combo for fk all money, after its installed though id look at gettin a chamber kit put in otherwise youll get uneven tire wear on the front. but is a good place to start. you can always change shocks or spring in the future anyway

Superlows are low enough in my opinion. On stockies with ultra lows you'll be belly scraping everwhere

I've had both and I'd go superlows the difference is hardly noticeable like 30mm. Also ive noticed with super lows my front Tyres didnt wear unevenly at all. Where as ultras I was luckly to get 10,000km out of the the fronts before on side when to canvas or u can get a camber kit personally I'd get superlows then you save the money on a camber kit. Btw I'm running 19's

I'm running stock shocks. Always have. And yes shortened shocks will make it lower. I want shorten shocks cos my ride is a bit bumpy, I want it stiffer. U can always get the guards rolled if they scrubbed. It's like $80 a guard

oh true.. ther already rolled cuz i got 19's put on i wanted to make sure they didnt scrub.. rather have stock shocks than have it scrubbin.. yeh i want stiffer/better handling thats why im lookin at better shocks might have to raise front to sl then ay

I Have SL on the front and normal lows on the rear (but they are falcon lows on a fairlane so its only like a 10mm difference in the real) and what scraps for me is my mud flaps i do occassionally scrape on some really hard stuff to get by but its pretty rare super lows are just legal for my lane any lower and my headlights will be under 500mm so they would be illegal and my ride height at lowest point is pretty close to 100mm so i wouldn't recommend ultras at all its more of a bogan/dunnydore/4cyl thing
