Just a small question regarding the super and ultra lowered spring. I was told by a reseller that a lower strut is requried to trap the lowered springs in place. Keeping in mind super low springs are aprrox. 50mm shorter and ultra is like 75mm. So is this lower strut thing required? have never heard of anyone here having to use them.

There's plenty of people that have gotten away without replacing the front strut (on superlows). AFAIK its not even considered for the rear.

Having said this, getting the shortened strut for the front really allws you to take advantage of the reduced ride height (i.e. much better handling). The standard shocker is at risk of constantly hitting the bump stops...

Ultralows i'd think its required. I drive on superlows and damn - i cant imagine how much carnage is influcted riding on ultras!!!

i was thinkin of getting new shockers all round anyways (probably pedders sports ryders). Do u think it'll still hit the bump stops then?

If youre going to replace the front struts you may as well aqcuaire the shorter ones IMO.
