Hey all long time no post..

Im looking at getting a complete whiteline(mostly) overhaul for my EF.

That is,
adjustable swaybars front and back
bushes all round
whiteline rear control arms
monroe gas shocks
and my existing king lows can stay.

First quote I got from the whiteline dealer on the coast was $1900 fitted (about $600 worth is labour)

They apparently dont make the kits anymore which has inflated the price but 1900 seems pretty steep, what do ya reckon?

I reckon get the Nolathane Evolution kit rather for teh bushes and camber kit.
And the Whiteline swaybars - do you want adjustable?

I like the idea of adjustable, as im a picky bastard when it comes to handling..
The dude told me people are often not happy with the non adjustable ones as they can alter the driving feel considerably. I dont know how likely this is but I have heard something similar from another person aswell so perhaps.

Seems exxy, and they are talking s**t, Whiteline never have s**t in stock anyway, they make it as they get orders.
I wouldn't run Monroe shocks with that combo either, seems a waste.

Well repco and autobarn wanted higher prices than my orig quote for the parts, and most other suspension shops around here seem to wanna sell me other s**t and not what I want. Why not Monroe though I thaught they were pretty decent?

Monroe are great for those who've had f**k original shocks for a few years.
But they are under-damped for a performance package IMO.
Ideally you'd go something like Koni Yellows or Bilsteins, but they are expensive.
I'm running Whiteline valved KYBs at the rear and Boge struts, along with whiteline 'flatout' springs in the front and lovells ultralows in the rear.
Obviously theres a trade off in comfort (mine is pretty low).
With my old setup using the same shocks but whiteline 'control' (lows) springs, it was definately a jack of all trades, very comfortable on bumpy roads and long trips, yet still stiff enough to feel fantastic through the twisty stuff.

I'd have a think about trying to install at least some of it myself, to cut back on labor.
The swaybars are ridiculously easy to install, and if you install them yourself, you'll at least be confident if you want to adjust them.

i was going to reply constructivly, but jarred said everything i was going to.

one thing though, dunno if the adjustable swaybars are really nessecary. i have the fixed ones and they are fine.

oh yeah, and do some labour yourself... i paid to get it done and it turns out they have f**k all my rear bushes by not doing it properly!! *waves fist* i'll fix it myself me thinks! lol
