Been asked before, but i havent really heard a good concensis.
What shocks do ppl think are best and for what price should i pick them up for?

the car handles like a boat something kronic of late. brought a workshop manual and it says 'excessive play in steering' remedies-> C arm ball joint loose. i sort of hope its not that

i was thinking more the sway bar bushes. is it the bushes around the contol arm stud i need to replace as well at the front? or just the main bushes to the body?

and with the rear control arms, ive heard the bushes can wear out which makes the gear stick rattle. i've also heard they are a b**ch to get out.

Thanks heaps for your help guys!

upper control arm bushes flow out over time and lead to sloppy steering, all bushes do this.. its an 11 year old car, I would say bushes is the place to start.. you will also get good gains from new suspension as well. best off doing it all at once if $$ allow. car will be tight as a nun again in no time.

Its mostly how much your willing to spend. The more money, more parts you can replace. Nothanle (spelling) bushes for EL's are around $600-800 i think on ebay. Then about $90 for each front shock then you got the back ones. springs for all 4 shocks. Then you need front and back sway bar.
Not cheap. the reason why i didnt do my car cause, my car will be worth the same amount that i would of spent on it.
Something to think about.

i cant find in the manual where it references the upper control arm for the front. i can find heaps on the lower one tho. but i can find info on the upper for the rear
