this has been not been covered in other threads although people have 'attempted' to ask. i have a 3.45 eb xr6 (series2) diff that i want to put in an ef ghia (s.s series 1) the eb diff housing is screwed up, so all i wanted to do was swap the centres using my orignial ef stub axles and housing and everything else bar the centre. is this possible? straight swap? if it is possible can someone please explain what needs to go off from the eb diff and onto the ef diff. thank you in advance guys n gals.

hi
i did it to my ea. but i put a ef diff in my ea ..all you have to do is remove the axles and swap the backing plates and the caliper brackets, calipers ect from your diff and put them onto the other diff and you can use the ef axles if you want..

i changed the flange plate and used the ea flange and tailshaft and now i have no problems.. unfortunatly the ef tailshaft is just to big in diameter for the ea floor for some reason..

im 90% sure you remove the axels from the diff housing, take the front and rear cases off the diff and pull the insides out, do the same to the other diff and insert the LSD centre into your fiff, replace the seals with new items found on ebay and re insert your axels and im pretty sure thats all you have to do
