Looking for a heavier swaybar for my ebI. Is it true that xh ute is heavy and fits, or is there a better (cheap) option. Is it worth replacing both or will front be sufficient. Car is lowered on pedders (not too low). What sizes/brands do people recommend?

XH Ute front bar is the same as EL GT I believe.
These can be had pretty cheaply (under $100 iirc), from Ford still.
Think they are 28mm? There was some confusion a while back over whether they were 28mm or 29mm.
I had/have Whiteline front and rear bars, 27mm front and 24mm rear.
Front was around the 130 mark, rear was 150 from memory.
They also do a 30mm front, and blade adjustable 30mm front and 24mm rear bars.
I like the Whiteline products (shutup everyone else, that was restrained pimpage :D).
Pedders do them as well, but I've never heard of anyones experience with them or what sizes/cost.

For the cost, I would get the EL GT/XH front, and a Whiteline 24mm rear.
Bigger rear bars are a personal taste sort of thing.
Alot of people don't bother with them, but I found my car was alot more neutral when I had the bigger rear bar, with the option of liftoff oversteer if you wanted it ;)
Hope that essay helps :P

Thanks steady and unsteady. Heavy ford front bar sounds the go. Does it come with new end rods and middle mounts? Will standard mounts fit or is this an extra?

Standard mounts will fit, but you will need the D-Bushes inside the mount to suit the fatter bar.
End rods (swaybar links) will be fine, but I highly recommend you replace the bushes, old ones will probably be f**k anyway.
A few different guys do them in polyurethane type stuff.
Whiteline recommended you lubricate the inside of the mount bush with 'lithium grease' as well, something to keep in mind.

Hey Steady Does the whitline product come with the D bushes. BTW I know that EB1 and others have different end links on the end of the rear sway bar. Is front the same for EB1 c/w other models? Thanks for your help.

Yeah Whiteline comes with them, SHOULD come with all bushes, however, Whiteline have a bit of a reputation for sending out thw wrong bushes, or none at all.
Others have got the wrong D bushes, fitted them unknowingly, and ended up with knocks they couldnt chase down.
I got all the D bushes, but only half a set of swaybar links...
I don't know if they fixed up there delivery process, as this was about a year ago now!
I don't know about differences between EA-EBI and EBII onwards, only dealt with my ED.
Didn't think of that when I recommended the EL GT bar... maybe someone else can clarify?
