are the sway bars on an EF 6cyl and xr8 the same?

The 6cyl one will be 26mm......XR8..can't remember....but you can get a 28mm one.
I have a 30mm adjustable...set at the least flexible setting which is equivalent to having 34mm.....according to Whiteline.
