what the hell is the bem module. Thanks for all your help it has certainly kept me busy. I am normally pretty good when it comes to problems with cars but this one has me beat.

body electronics module (smartlock module) it controlls stuff like interior lighting and power to alot of electrical parts of the car. Its attached to the dash (behind where the lock/unlock button is)

ok well smartlock still flashes on the instrument panel. Thanks anyway it has been great talking to ya. If you can think of anything else let me know, i am clean out of ideas.

might be a bit obvious, but have you checked the two plugs that of into the bottom of the cluster? my speedo stopped cause of a loose connection when i installed my trip computer!
