i have a man xr8
the gear stick is getting harder to get right gears feels like spring is gone is the selector in the box or external like the old aussie 4 speeds and can it be rebushed or fixed without pulling box marty

selector is in the box, you may be able to get at it through the top if you pull the shifter boot off and all the s**t under the console out

had a look around forum for about an hour
it seems a lot of other have the same problem checking the clutch cable and fire wall for cracks does and body know what the pedal free play is going to ajust the clutch today and see if that helps

In the engine bay there is a tube with the clutch cable coming out. There is a nut at the end of the tube that is on threads. Adjusting that nut adjusts the pedal freeplay.

i dont know but with my toyota there was like 30mm from top of pedel till it went firm when depressed
are fords the same if so any idea what you sugest
